HILARY ONYISHI (IKEMBA); DECLARES TOTAL SUPPORT FOR HIS EXCELLENCY, PETER OBI, HIS EXCELLENCY, SENATOR RABIU MUSA KWANKWASO, AND HON.DR. HILARY ONYISHI'S ASPIRATION FOR THE FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, NSUKKA/IGBO-EZE SOUTH CONSTITUENCY.

In a significant display of political awakening, democratic consciousness, and unwavering commitment to the enthronement of purposeful leadership, members of the OK Movement, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), paid a high-level courtesy visit to the distinguished son of Nsukka land, renowned philanthropist, grassroots mobilizer, and champion of human development, Hon. Dr. Hilary Onyishi (Ikemba), at his Resident.

The visit symbolized more than a mere exchange of pleasantries. It represented a strategic convergence of youthful energy and visionary leadership, driven by a shared determination to advance a political culture founded on competence, accountability, equity, inclusiveness, and service to the people.

Speaking during the engagement, leaders and members of the movement extolled the sterling qualities and enduring contributions of Dr. Hilary Onyishi, describing him as an exceptional leader whose life has been defined by compassion, sacrifice, accessibility, and an uncommon commitment to uplifting humanity.

According to the delegation, authentic leadership is not measured by grandstanding, political propaganda, or the making of unrealistic promises, but by the ability to positively transform lives through practical interventions and people-oriented initiatives. They noted that Dr. Onyishi has consistently demonstrated these qualities through his numerous investments in education, youth development, community advancement, and humanitarian services.

The movement particularly acknowledged his various scholarship programmes, educational support initiatives, youth empowerment schemes, and community-based interventions that have impacted countless families across Nsukka land. They stressed that the aspirations of millions of Nigerian youths can only be realized through visionary leadership anchored on integrity, accountability, transparency, and a genuine commitment to nation-building.

Declaration of Support for Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso

In what became one of the defining moments of the visit, members of the OK Movement unanimously declared their total support and solidarity with the presidential aspirations of His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, and His Excellency, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

The movement described both leaders as statesmen whose political trajectories reflect courage, discipline, administrative competence, and an unwavering belief in the ideals of justice, equity, national unity, and good governance.

According to them, the emergence of leaders who prioritize prudence, accountability, productivity, and inclusive governance aligns with the collective aspirations of Nigerian youths who desire a nation where merit supersedes mediocrity, institutions function effectively, and public resources are deployed for the benefit of the people.

They further noted that the increasing coalition of progressive-minded Nigerians across political and social divides is a clear indication of the people's desire for a new national direction characterized by responsible leadership, economic revitalization, social justice, and sustainable development.

Endorsement of Dr. Hilary Onyishi for the House of Representatives

In the same spirit of democratic participation and informed political choice, the OK Movement unanimously endorsed and declared its unflinching support for the aspiration of Hon. Dr. Hilary Onyishi (Ikemba) to represent the good people of Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives.

The movement described his aspiration as a continuation of a lifetime devoted to selfless service, community development, and the empowerment of ordinary citizens.

They maintained that the constituency deserves a representative who understands the yearnings of the people, possesses the legislative capacity to attract meaningful development, and has a verifiable track record of service without prejudice or discrimination.

According to the students, Dr. Onyishi's candidacy embodies hope, inclusiveness, and the promise of responsive representation. They expressed confidence that his emergence would usher in a new era of effective legislative advocacy, quality constituency engagement, infrastructural development, youth inclusion, and enhanced opportunities for women, students, traders, farmers, professionals, and other critical stakeholders within the constituency.

The movement therefore called on well-meaning constituents, progressive forces, and lovers of good governance to rally behind Dr. Onyishi's aspiration in the interest of equity, development, and effective representation.
